What we use and why
Strictly necessary
These keep the site working and remember your cookie choice. For example, our consent banner stores your preference so we don’t ask you on every page. WordPress may also set cookies for logged-in site administrators; visitors don’t normally receive these.
Site statistics
We use Burst Statistics, a privacy-focused tool that stores its data on our own server. It may set a cookie (for example, burst_uid) so we can count visits and see which pages are useful. We use this to improve the site, not to build advertising profiles.
Travel partner search tools
Our flight, car, transfer and other search tools are provided by our travel partners through the Travelpayouts network. When one loads, it may set cookies or use local storage in your browser to make the tool work and measure how it is used. Examples we have seen include names such as _sp_id, _sp_ses, am_user_session, cascoon_booking and timezone. These are set by our partners’ tools, and their names and lifetimes can change.
Affiliate links
Many links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the partner or Travelpayouts may place a cookie so that we can earn a commission if you book or buy. This costs you nothing extra. Once you leave our site, the partner’s own cookie and privacy policies apply.
Fonts and maps
Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and our Contact page shows an embedded Google Map. Loading these sends your IP address and browser details to Google, and Google may set its own cookies. See Google’s privacy policy for details.
Your choices
- Use the cookie banner on our site to accept or decline optional cookies, and to change your choice later.
- Change or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may stop parts of the site, such as partner search tools, from working.
- Use your browser’s “clear cookies and site data” option to remove cookies already stored.
