Who we are
SearchSmartFlights.com (“we”, “us”) is an independent travel search and comparison website at https://searchsmartflights.com. We don’t sell flights, hotels, cars or other travel services, and we don’t take payments or hold bookings. You can reach us at info@searchsmartflights.com.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and the message you send. If you sign up for our newsletter, we receive your email address. We use this only to reply to you or to send what you asked for.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, our web host and our tools may record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the date and time. We use this to keep the site secure and working and to understand which pages are useful. We use Burst Statistics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that stores its data on our own server.
Cookies and tracking technologies
We use a cookie consent banner. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working. With your consent, third parties whose tools appear on our pages may set cookies, including our travel partners’ search widgets and links. Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies in use and how to change your choices.
Affiliate links and partner sites
Many links and search tools on this site are affiliate links, provided through the Travelpayouts network and partners such as Aviasales, Klook, EconomyBookings, BikesBooking, Compensair and Drimsim. When you click one, the partner or Travelpayouts may place a cookie so we can earn a commission if you book or buy. This costs you nothing extra. Compensair charges a fee if a claim succeeds; that fee is theirs, not ours. Once you leave our site, the partner’s own privacy policy applies, and we don’t control what they collect. Please read their policies before you give them personal information or payment details.
How we use information
To operate and secure the site; to answer your messages; to send the newsletter you signed up for; to understand site use and improve our content; to track affiliate referrals; and to comply with the law.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information. We share limited information with service providers that help us run the site (hosting, analytics, email delivery, spam protection) and with affiliate networks and partners when you click through to their sites, as described above. We may disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Contact messages and newsletter addresses are kept until you ask us to delete them or you unsubscribe, and for contact messages no longer than 24 months. Server and analytics records are kept for a limited period.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing info@searchsmartflights.com. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in any message or by emailing us. You can change cookie choices in the consent banner or in your browser settings. Residents of some US states have additional rights under state privacy laws; email us and we will respond within the time the law allows.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website or transmission is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
